Want to hear something funny? Our dem club purchased about 100 copies of "On Tyranny" so that all the members could get a bit of an understanding about what we are facing now. On Saturday, I'm supposed to do a review of the book at our next meeting, and we advertised the meeting on our website. Well, we're having the meeting at our congressman's campaign office and the last half hour of the meeting he's supposed to show up and give us a summary of what's happening in DC. So all the local clubs and orgs got wind of that and now we have hundreds of people clammering to come to the meeting. I may have a MASSIVE audience for my book report,. #democrats #punch_a_nazi #OnTyranny
So, the meeting happened. I got my twenty minutes presenting #OnTyranny in front of this crowd (about 100 people). It was clear a lot of people were there for the congressman, (who came in towards the end of our meeting). I sensed a lot of frustration and anger from the crowd, waiting for the main event. But we did have some lively discussion. I guess I call that a win.
Remember we are all in our undies underneath !

@abeorch I’m not familiar with this tool but if more people read it the better! I’ll look into it!
@CWilbur @abeorch To give you some idea of what Bookwyrm is like, here is my politics list: https://sfba.club/list/108/s/politics . Users can publish books they are reading, follow other people, etc. You can also follow a Bookwyrm account from Mastodon and see reviews or whatever else is published to the feed.
@CWilbur the more folks who are familiar with On Tyranny the better.
