Community Safety Warning: February Protests
Unfortunately a series of fake rallies is currently being promoted. These are the so-called "50 Protests in 50 States" rallies (using hashtags #5050 , #50501, #50501movement etc).
This recent post by an established organizer in one of those cities spells out the concerns about these fake rallies:

@freedom_baird update on our protest #cleveland, it was definitely a lot more tame compared to other protests I’ve been to. There weren’t any agitators and we got a really positive response! We didn’t even take the streets, just the sidewalks.
@Number1SummerJam hey, glad to hear you had a good experience! I think lots of folks did in lots of cities. It’s one of the strange aspects of these anonymously organized events.
If enough local people who’ve got their heads on straight get involved, they can keep the event safe and functional. it’s just always good to be vigilant and know how to de-escalate if things go sideways with counter-protesters, or other bad actors.
