@jasminediaz It’s a similar sentiment I feel whenever a Latinx politician in NYC starts glad handing the White centrist politician. Then eventually starts to vote against the policies that had originally elected them to their position by the community. Growing tired of the aspirations to attain the status of proximity to whiteness.
@nisadani hubby and I have this convo regularly. He is Puerto Rican 
and part of his family votes R. The sense of betrayal... It's like why?
